Sony is aware that not all USB storage devices are compatible with our TVs. If you decide to download the update, a USB storage device, such as a Sony® Micro Vault® device, or something similar, is required to perform the update.
If your television’s software version is 1.539 or higher, your TV does not need this update. NOTES: A firmware update via our support pages is only available to models with USB software update capability. If you want to update the software now, you can download a firmware update for free from the Sony Support website, then save it to a USB stick and install it on your TV. This software update provides latest improvements and is recommended for all users. This file updates all previous firmware versions to version PKG 1.740SA.
